Memories with Shubham Sir

When Shubham Sir brought baking soda and vinegar to class and our volcano erupted all over the floor. He just laughed and said "Science is messy, that is how you know it is working!"

Shubham Sir stayed back after school for three hours to help us understand organic chemistry. He drew so many carbon chains the whiteboard marker ran out of ink. We brought him chai.

He showed us how to levitate a paperclip using electromagnetism. The whole class went silent. Then he said "Ab batao, magic hai ya science?" We all shouted "SCIENCE!" in unison.

Two days before our science board exam, Shubham Sir gathered us all and said "You have prepared. Now just breathe. Science is not about memorising facts — it is about understanding the world. You already understand it."

We spent a whole week building a scale model of the solar system with thermocol balls and paint. Shubham Sir stayed until 7 PM helping us hang it from the classroom ceiling. It is still there.

On our last day of class 10, Shubham Sir wrote a personal note for every single student. Mine said "Naman, your curiosity will take you far. Never stop asking why." I have it pinned above my desk.
